Reduce false positive with advanced filtering options in Go!Scan
The Algoreg Post-filtering parameters are a set of parameters that filter out results after a name screening operation to reduce false positives or ignore alerts not relevant to your business. The Algoreg software lets you define multiple post-filtering sets of parameters that can be used for instance during the Name Search transactional API call.
Here is the list of available fields for a post-filtering set of parameters. These fields can be set for each category of record (PEP, RCA, SIP, SIE) individually. When applying the post-filtering algorithm, we will define the top category of the record (if there are multiple categories) and apply the defined parameters.
Alerts with score below specified threshold will not be raised for review. Default recommended threshold is set at 90%. The score is mainly defined using the string distance between input names and output names. See more details here Go!Scan scoring algorithm.
If not checked, date of birth will be ignored in the scanning process (but not in the Name Search process). If checked, potential alerts can be dismissed by comparing available date(s) of birth with those contained in the watchlists. 4 methodologies are available:
Exact match: will only raise alerts with exactly the same date(s) of birth OR none at all
Delta: will only raise alerts when date(s) of birth are within a specified range of days OR when no date(s) of birth are provided
Month and year: will only raise alerts when month and year match OR when no date(s) of birth are provided
Year: will only raise alerts when year matches OR when no date(s) of birth are provided
If checked, the result profile must be marked as active. Also works for RCA, ie an RCA of an inactive PEP (or SAN) will not appear.enc_U2FsdGVkX1+Y/7JwT0m41/0wvBOcwXAWPfVBIxBUJn07JQ/N4j9YbIVMCaM2bS0KYhC2DC5cNSVIkJfWBaDrgw==_encenc_U2FsdGVkX1+T7hUGGqG5fmXWqHpYnDki67/F4bqAiPBJVVebghX52bXIj3aiVhmdGJeMTA5sgntqYPjc8QpaE3FyVYB10PiG9a+WfA0l3Ww=_enc
If not empty, this will define the list of PEP roles that will trigger an alert. Any record that doesn’t or didn’t have one of the required roles will be removed from the final results.More information at Go!Scan watchlists

If not empty, this will define the list of Special Interest types that will trigger an alert. Any record that doesn’t or didn’t have one of the required SI type will be removed from the final results.More information at Go!Scan watchlists
Algoreg provides more than 5,000 watchlists, you can select some of them or disable some of them using RegExp (Regular Expression) which is a powerful way to restrict lists based on their names. Some predefined RegExp are at your disposal, for instance to restrict records from OFAC lists. For more complex settings, please contact us.More information at Go!Scan watchlists
You can decide to apply any of the previous filters on a specific category. For instance you could define a threshold of name matching of 99% but only for PEP records. Or disable inactive SIP/SIE and SAN.
